Success
The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population and the Ministry of Agriculture jointly implemented the project "Support for the development of cocooning" in order to support the self-employment program.
During the implementation of the project, preference was given to the families of martyrs, veterans, as well as peopler from other socially vulnerable groups.
The selected 20 beneficiaries were trained by the Ministry of Agriculture, and then the Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency provided them with a cocoon sandbox, and the Ministry of Agriculture provided them with silkworm seeds.
The pilot project covered 4 districts (Barda, Kurdamir, Yevlakh and Shamkir) suitable for cocooning.
