UNESCO-UNEVOC

Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency (APEA) is accepted as a member to  "UNESCO-UNEVOC International Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training " established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) for technical and vocational education and training (TVET)

UNESCO-UNEVOC supports member states to strengthen and improve their TVET systems. TVET is focused on the acquisition of knowledge and skills for the world of work, and helps youth and adults develop the skills needed for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship while supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

UNESCO-UNEVOC promotes increased opportunities for productive work, sustainable livelihoods, personal empowerment and socio-economic development, especially for youth, women and the disadvantaged. Through its innovative projects, capacity-building programmes and collaborative activities with more than 220 UNEVOC Centres around the globe, UNESCO-UNEVOC is working towards ensuring access to quality skills training and development for all.

"UNESCO-UNEVOC" is one of 8 UNESCO institutes and centres working in the field of education, and the only organization working to promote the United Nations’ mandate through TVET. UNESCO-UNEVOC also contributes to the United Nations’ mandate to promote peace, poverty alleviation, and sustainable development.

The APEA was elected a full member of the UNESCO-UNEVOC organization until the end of 2027. Membership will support the APEA to cooperate with public and private institutions operating in the field of vocational training and acquire international experience.
