Economic and cultural relations exist between the Republics of Azerbaijan and Latvia for many years. These relations have improved further in recent years.
In 2015, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Welfare of the Republic of Latvia signed a Memorandum on cooperation in the field of labour, employment and social protection of the population. This Memorandum contributed to further strengthening of relations between the countries.
Since 2020, successful cooperation relations between the Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency and the Employment Service of the Republic of Latvia have been established, and these relations are carried out in the form of continuous information exchange.
During the online meeting held in October 2022, the two institutions agreed to sign the Action Plan for 2022-2023. The Action Plan will include the organization of workshops on various topics and mutual study visits.
