There has been strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Federal Republic of Germany for many years.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany in the field of labour and social policy, which supports the strengthening of friendly relations.
Azerbaijan Public Employment Agency (APEA) and the German Employment Service ("Bundesagentur für Arbeit" - BA) continue the successful cooperation between the two institutions as a continuation of the partnership formed at the ministerial level. Institutions are constantly exchanging information and taking appropriate measures in the direction of applying best practices.
On September 2022, a bilateral meeting was held with the Employment Service of Germany as part of a visit to Germany. At the end of the meeting, within the framework of the capacity building program between the APEA and the BA, the mutual exchange of employees, the involvement of persons registered as unemployed and jobseekers in Azerbaijan to dual-education programs in Germany according to the qualifications and duration to be determined, including the issues of training them as personnel according to the most modern labour market standards, establishment of mutual relations between the SEA and the university under the German Employment Service that trains career counselors, integration of training programs and modules into Azerbaijan have been agreed.
